CORR, also known as Championship Off Road Racing, made its footprint brighter than ever this past weekend at the LA County Fairplex in Pomona
The event was a sure hit as we found the massive crowds difficult to navigate through. Thousands packed the man-made dirt track to witness one man's vision come true. Jim Baldwin, known for his extensive efforts in off road desert racing, as well as bringing the action-packed CORR series to the western United States, is the man we need running things in the off road race scene. His goal was to capture the attention of mainstream America. We'd say it's mission accomplished! The weekend was full of action, some of which had an emphasis on the CORR series being a fullfilling family-based activity. This couldn't have been better demonstrated than on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, when young girls and boys competed in the adrenalin-pumping Trophy Kart races. Enthusiastic parents cheered from the bleachers, the scene was epic. Trophy Carts are the hot new thing here in sunny Southern California. Recently we got a chance to drive one on the race track, now we know why the 1/4-scale trophy truck look-alikes are all the rage right now. They soak up the bumps and level-out the playing field for drivers of all skill levels.
